| This ZIP archive contains all the latest UK maps which I have available and a MAPLIST.UK file to be used with them. Unzip the map files into \APRS\MAPS and the maplist into \APRS (verions up to 7.5) or \APRS\MAPLISTS (versions from 7.5a) |
| Then start APRS as usual and use the M C commands to change the maplist in use. Enter UK as the new maplist extension. |
| Note: Most of these maps should now be compatible with the WinAPRS beta test code (V 024). |
| If you have developed any UK APRS maps please drop me an Email - I'd be happy to include them in the archive for you. |

| Special note: From version 7.6 the code to display Ordnance Survey National Grid Refernces has been taken out of the standard version of APRS. Bob has agreed to make a UK version of APRS available when required. At present (16th May 96) the most up to date version which includes the NGR display is 7.5C |

| My first map files were generated using a spreadsheet allowing Ordnance Survey NGR's to be converted automatically to the format required by APRS. NGR_MAP.ZIP contains an example spreadsheet (in Lotus WK1 format) and some brief readme notes which should allow you to create a map of your local area quite easily. Although the method is relatively slow you don't need any special equipment - just a spreadsheet program and an Ordnance Survey map. Please drop me an Email if you need further help. |
