FOUR VILLAGES HALF MARATHON - 21st Jan 97

This was a half marathon (approx 13 miles) starting in the village of Helsby and running through Thornton and Ince Marshes. The relatively flat terrain presented an easy exercise from a radio comms. point of view. We had some problems with the main road being closed just prior to the event - this made it difficult for some of the checkpoint operators to get to their locations!
Timing: Requested assembly time 10:15, Race start 11:00, Last person stood down approx 14:30
